It has been lovely here in Dyffryn yr Enfys. The sun has been shining on us almost every day and the children have had the opportunity to enjoy playing together on our field. Our willow tunnel is starting to grow and we are looking forward to seeing it in a few weeks.

The children of Doasbarth Eigiau  have been reading the story of Super poatato and bad Mr Pea has arrived at Ysgol Dyffryn yr Enfys once again! He has been up to mischief on a daily basis - messing up the classroom, destroying the children's pictures and tying Miss Roberts to the fence! PC Dylan came over to see the children's Police Station and also to give the children some ideas on how to catch him. We will be glad once that happens and the school returns to normal!!!

Dosbarth Crafnant  have been reading the book The Hungry Caterpillar and researching little creatures. They will be learning facts about them and have opportunities to search for them outside. They will also have the opportunity to visit habitats and plants around the school and then finish their learning  with a day out at Pili Palas.

The catchment area's New Rugby Officer - Anna, has been holding rugby sessions with Dosbarth Dulyn and it's great to hear that the children are trying hard to develop new skills and working well together. The children of Dosbarth Dulyn and Geirionydd walked down to the Garden of Remembrance on VE day to hear the war siren, to raise the flag and remember those who went to war.

Their theme is Festivals and they have been very busy planning and developing their ideas to further guide the learning. Some of the children have been researching various dances that are performed all over the world and are planning and creating their own dance. We will be looking forward to seeing them perform in the coming weeks.

PC Dylan came to speak with Year 5/6 and will be visiting regularly during the coming weeks to lead the Junior Police Project with Year 5 pupils. They will be in contact with members of the community to try to improve elements of the community for themselves and others. We look forward to seeing how the project develops over the next half term.
