Welcome Back and Start of Term!

It has been very busy here at the start of the term. It was a pleasure to welcome the children back after a lovely summer, and also to receive our new Meithrin (Nursery) children. Everyone has been busy settling into their new classes.

Dosbarth Crafnant

The Meithrin and Reception children have settled very well into their new class . The class theme is “The Big Red Bath”. The children have been learning how to take care of themselves and how to carefully bath a baby. The Reception children have also been thinking of names for our new fish – Oli and Doli – and we hope they will settle well at Dyffryn yr Enfys School too.

Dosbarth Dulyn

Dosbarth Dulyn have been sharing their ideas for the theme “Me and My Local Area”. They have begun learning about nearby villages and towns, as well as about our bones and teeth. They have also been developing their cricket skills with Joe and really enjoy the sessions. Additionally, Opera Cymru visited to run an acting and performing workshop, and the children responded very well to the activities.

Dosbarth Geirionydd

It has been very busy in Dosbarth Geirionydd. The Year 7 Headteacher from Ysgol y Creuddyn visited to speak with the childern, and the Headteacher from Dyffryn Conwy School also visited in preparation for September 2026. Year 6 children had the opportunity to spend a day at Dyffryn Conwy School with pupils from other schools in the area. While Year 6 were there, Year 5 were busy on the school field collecting apples – there were many more apples this year than in previous years. The children have also been receiving cricket sessions with Joe and developing special skills.

The children have elected representatives from Year 2 to Year 6 to be on our School Council: Bobby, Layken, Mae, Phoenix, Ellie, Harri, Maelon, Megan, Emelia, and Isaac. We have also established our Welsh Crew: Ela, Leucu, Ioan, and Nansi. We look forward to developing the children’s ideas throughout the year.
